This is true to me. I don't write stories on here at all, maybe I should. Everything gets written down on paper then disposed of at some later date. Writing lets you escape to somewhere where you want to be, as opposed to where you are in life.
Yesterday, our English Literature teacher took us outside onto the balcony in our Gardens and we had our lesson there, in the warm breeze. I felt completeley content.
Joan Crawford

Joan Crawford is one of my many obsessions. One of my favourite Joan films is 'Mildred Pierce' and in it, she wears some of the most amazing shoulder pads i've ever seen. I still think she's the only woman who can pull that look off perfectly. She is so elegant and beautiful. She also has the best eyebrows ever.

POCKETWATCH
My Mum and Dad just bought me the most perfect pocket watch ever!! I am so proud that it is mine :) :) :) It's from Weldons in Southport who specialse in pocket watches and antique jewelry. My pocket watch is a woman's one and is very dainty with a long chain. It also has a glass window on the front with Roman Numerals around the outside so I don't have to open it to tell the time. It's beautiful!

Japanese Art

I am becoming very inspired by Japanese art and as I have mentioned before, I have a particular love and interest for the paintings of birds. I intend to design a collection of Japanese themed pieces with a vintage twist. I want the focus to be on birds though so am trying to work out some sort of a story to go along with the peices. I have decided to start with something simple; bags. Easy Peasy. On Thursday, I shall be paying a Visit to the Bluecoat Art Shop by the Albert Dock to purchase a new Sketch Pad to begin as I keep filling the pages of my Cath Kidston notebook with little designs and it is in danger of filling up!

Victorian & Japanese Bird Paintings.

I've recently developed quite an interest in both Victorian and Japanese bird paintings. I adore birds and own two budgies, Belle and Misty, who unfortunately quiver with fear if you so much as look at them. I think they're beautiful. Not only this, but I am also developing a keen interest in Victorian taxidermied birds. I think the thing that first interested me in this was "The Conjuror's Bird" which is one of my all-time favourite books. I am determined to begin collecting these birds, especially the beautifully coloured, picturesque ones that are worthy of a museum.
