My recent purchase of this rather wonderful vintage Picnic Basket is still very pleasing. At £15 though, I'm not so sure it was what one would call a 'bargain' but it's a little more than perfect and it still has that wonderful musty smell! I bought it last Friday on Lark Lane for the picnic I went on on the Saturday. Courtesy of my friend Ell, that beautiful skirt in the basket was to be worn on that day too:) It was once a dress believe it or not! She is I must say, rather multi talented and a wizard with needle and thread, which is why she is most definatley taking my pleated blue dress up and in and the neckline down down down!
